Resilient Damp-proof Membrane for Floating Hardwood Floors
Application
Poly-filt has been developed as an underlay for "floating
floors" and is supplied for use with Junckers 14 and 22mm solid
hardwood floors. Poly-filt is a resilient underlay that incorporated a
damp-proof membrane and can, therefore, be used on ground as well as upper
floors. Poly-filt can also be used as an intermediate layer between an
existing wooden floor and a new overlay floor, provided there is no risk
of moisture accumulating in the subfloor under the membrane.
Advantages
Poly-filt is a polythene membrane laminated to a synthetic fibre mat in
such a way as to allow a 90mm overlap of polythene on one side. This
construction enables the laying of an underlay and a damp-proof membrane
in one single, cost saving process. Poly-filt is non-absorbent and must be
laid fibre side down to prevent perforation of the membrane by sand or
gravel particles. In addition to the above, Poly-filt is a safe product
and provides excellent step sound absorption.
The Junckers "Quick Clip" System is engineered to provide a simple yet effective method of installing solid hardwood flooring over most any level subfloor. This includes existing flooring such as carpet, tile, sheet vinyl, or wood.
With "Quick Clip" your renovations are a snap. Our solid 7/8" or 1/2" solid hardwood can be installed directly over existing flooring, resulting in a transition height as low as 1/2". Another key feature is the relocatability. A "Quick Clip" floor can be removed and reinstalled in other locations if ever desired.

Junckers Plywood Sleeper System offers the stability of a nailed in place floor while keeping a relatively low transition height of 1-5/8". This system uses 4" wide plywood sleepers fastened to the concrete with anchoring pins. The finished Junckers floor is then installed perpendicular to the sleepers by blind nailing into the plywood subfloor.
